Welcome to the latest feature on the Twisted Hand blog, ‘Gig of The Week‘ (GOTW)

For this feature we will be promoting a local gig, from a local artist in the Manchester area that is happening that week.

The first gig we are going to feature is Toria Wooff at the Whiskey Jar on Friday the 22nd of November, with support from Carl North and James Holt.

Toria has been a favourite on Twisted Hand since we started featuring local artists. Toria is described as…

“A painter, poet, songwriter and storyteller, Lancashire’s Toria Wooff stands in the crossfires of gothic literature and pained Americana. Telling tales of love and malevolence, her delicate guitar and haunting vocals shine amongst a storytelling far beyond her years.”

Her Latest EP ‘Badlands‘ is not one to miss. Featuring beautifully crafted and produced songs, with personal favourite ‘Collision Course‘ highlighting Torias brilliant vocals and style of song writing.

The support acts for the evening are Carl North another Twisted Hand original, who we featured at the very start with his track ‘Blood to Bleed‘. Carl is another artist who is apart of the brick work of Manchesters music scene, delivering a raw Blues sound that you can’t help but be moved by. If you have never seen Carl North perform live before, then you are missing a big part of masterful blues from your life.

The final support is James Holt.
James is colourful shirt wearing, alternative rock singer songwriter, who has been described as “Fresh and exciting to listen to” by none other that Brian Eno.
